I practice general surgical pathology and serve as laboratory medical director at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, Illinois. I am also an assistant attending at Rush Medical College in Chicago. My specialty challenges and humbles me because of the sublime variation and complexity of diseases of the human person. My focused interests are lung, breast, and gastrointestinal surgical pathology and transfusion medicine. Systems biology, complexity science, and chaos theory, as they relate to pathology and medicine, also intrigue me. As a member of the College of American Pathologists, I am also a delegate to the CAP House and a CAP Spokesperson.
